Bistro ''Kod Starog'' is a place that has that something, that has a soul and where you feel at home. The starting point for that special feeling of warmth and home is hosted by Stari (Old man), an imaginary character who welcomes you there every time you set foot in this new Šibenik oasis of perfect tastes and smells. Every time you visit the bistro, he is there just like a real host, to warmly welcome you and see you off with a note to see you again soon.
The image of the Old Man in physical form as a sculpture is located next to the bar. Candelabras are placed next to it, which gives the impression of mystical and romantic street lighting. The sculpture itself was made by 3D printing. Roko Tanfara, the owner of the museum on the island of Krapanj, is responsible for the sculpture of Stari. The sculpture is made of PLA material, the most commonly used thermoplastic film for 3D printing. It is biodegradable because it is mainly based on corn starch. It is completely environmentally friendly because it is produced from renewable energy sources and as such has a low carbon footprint and does not pollute the environment.
Our guests often take photos with Stari, because in all his appearances he exudes warmth and friendliness. Stari gave our space a special story and rounded our bistro into a special experience. Bistro fulfilled the owner's visions and gave a new level of offer to Šibenik's gastronomic offer, which is equally enjoyed by business people, families with children and couples.
